Stanley Johnson Commits To Arizona

Nov 15, 2013 6:57 PM

Stanley Johnson has committed to Arizona, choosing the Wildcats over Kentucky and USC.

Johnson is a 6'6, 225 lbs wing out of Mater Dei High School.

“He is a different type of kid,” Oakland Soldiers coach Jules Milstead told TucsonCitizen.com’s Javier Morales during the summer. “I haven’t seen a kid like that with his motor, his basketball IQ, with his ability in the open floor, and with his body control.”

Johnson is the No. 9 ranked player in the class of 2014.

Scouts Doubt Aaron Gordon Can Transition To Small Forward

Nov 4, 2013 2:12 PM

Aaron Gordon of the University of Arizona is trying to transition to the small forward this season from his natural big man position in high school.

Gordon is seen as a similar player to Blake Griffin but smaller.

A lot of scouts, however, doubt that Gordon can make a successful transition to the three.
